Anchored in Somalia's own health priorities
CURIOUS is deliberately aligned with national policy rather than running parallel to it. The project supports three national priorities in particular:
HRH — strengthening human resources for health: the pipeline of doctors, nurses, midwives, laboratory technicians and public health specialists.
UHC — advancing universal health coverage by ensuring the workforce exists to deliver it.
EPHS — supporting implementation of the Essential Package of Health Services through relevant, practically oriented training.
The Federal Ministry of Health Somalia took part in the European study visit alongside the two Somali universities, keeping the project connected to national workforce planning.
